RESTAURANT PRE-SHOOT PREP GUIDE

Chicago Commercial Photography® | One Team, One Solution

To ensure we capture the "Big Brand" look for your 6-Pack Media Kit, please use this checklist to prepare your team and space before we arrive. Proper preparation ensures we spend more time being creative and less time cleaning or waiting.

1. THE "HERO" DISHES

We will be filming 6 specific daily specials. These are the stars of your video commercials.

  • Staggered Timing: Have the kitchen ready to send these out "piping hot" one at a time.
  • Extra Garnish: Ask the Chef to be "extra" with garnishes—vibrant colors and fresh herbs pop best on 4K video.
  • Action Elements: If a dish has a "cheese pull," sauce drizzle, or steam, have extra ingredients ready for 2-3 takes.

2. STAGING THE SPACE

Our Jib Crane and Wide-Angle lenses capture everything. Details matter.

  • Detail Cleaning: Polish windows, mirrors, and bar tops. High-resolution cameras see every fingerprint.
  • Table Settings: Have 2-3 tables perfectly set with your best linens and polished silverware.
  • Lighting: Ensure all house lights and signage lights are functional.

3. STAFF & BRANDING

We want to capture the energy and expertise of your team.

  • Uniform Check: Ensure staff appearing on camera are in clean, professional, branded attire.
  • Kitchen Action: Let the team know we will be filming "behind-the-scenes" (flames, chopping, plating).
  • Branded Items: Have a clean menu and any branded merchandise (hats, shirts, sauces) ready for detail shots.

Logistics for Arrival:

Setup Area: We need a 6'x6' space near a power outlet for our "Hero Station."
Point of Contact: Please designate one person to coordinate with our lead creative upon arrival.
